DAC 50Y truly is a genuine, honest and original Talbot Sunbeam Lotus that was first registered on the 19th January 1983.The car was supplied to its first owner by Arbury Service Station near Nuneaton, local to where the owner lived.

The car has obviously been cherished and extremely and meticulously well looked after and had very little use, to this day it has covered just under 6,200 miles, on average, 163 miles per year!

The ownership of the car was transferred to his Son in February 2002 and was kept in the family until January 2009 when Paul Matty Cars sold the car on his behalf who had also previously carried out service work on the car.

The car was sold to Oakfield’s and purchased by a customer of ours to form part of his collection in March 2009 and has remained in our care since then.

It shows one additional owner to the above as the current owner had the ownership transferred from his company name to his private name in April 2013.

As an unmolested car it is in wonderful condition today, fully wax oiled underneath which has really preserved the car. It has been dry stored with us since we have taken care of it ( most likely during the rest of its life also ) and occasionally taken out in good weather for a short run.

More recently, the car has been through our workshop and has been serviced including timing belt, filters, brakes serviced and new flexible hoses, carburettors rebuilt, new set of Pirelli CN36 tyres, runs and drives beautifully with a fresh MOT.

All the trim on the car is original and most likely most of the paint, it is not concours nor perfect, but it is original and 38 years old which makes it very attractive.
